About Us
The NanoCell Interactions Lab was established in 2015 by Professor Doctor Marcelo Bispo de Jesus, through the investment from Auxílio à Pesquisa - Jovem Pesquisador FAPESP
Pesquisadora

Continuous exposure to products containing nanoparticles raises the concerns about its metabolism, elimination, and possible toxic effects. Particularly, we study how nanoparticles are taken up by the cells (endocytosis), the intracellular trafficking, and biological effects.

Thus, our main research subjects are: develop and evaluate nanomaterials for gene delivery, investigate the molecular mechanisms of gene delivery systems, readily determine the cytotoxic potential of nanomaterials through rapid assays and study further nanomaterials effects and triggered pathways on cellular models through image-based analysis.
